Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayaat 151 - 157

2:151 

  كَمَا أَرْ‌سَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَ‌سُولًا مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْلَمُونَ

Kamā 'Arsalnā . Jaisa ke humney behja
Fīkum . Tum'mein
Rasūlāan . Aik Rasool
Minkum . Tum'hi mein se
Yatlū `Alaykum . Jo parh'ta hai tumpar
'Āyātinā . Hamari ayaatien
Wa Yuzakkīkum . Aur tumhein pak karte hain
Wa Yu`allimukumu Al-Kitāba . Aur tumhein siklaat'ey hain kitaab
Wa Al-Ĥikmata . Aur hikmat
Wa Yu`allimukum . Aur seehka'tey hain tumein
Mā Lam Takūnū . Na tey tum
Ta`lamūna . Jaantey

Just as if we have sent among you a messenger from yourselves reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the book and wisdom and teaching you that which you do not know.

 2:152  

فَاذْكُرُ‌ونِي أَذْكُرْ‌كُمْ وَاشْكُرُ‌وا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُ‌ونِ       

 Fādhkurūnī . So yaad karo mujhey
'Adhkurkum . Main yaad rahkoonga tumhey
Wa Ashkurū Lī . Aur tum mera shukar ada karo
Wa Lā Takfurūni . Aur meri na shukari na karo

So remember me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. 

 2:153 

  يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ‌ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِ‌ينَ
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Asta`īnū . Ay logon jo imaan lay ho, tum madat ma'ngo
Biş-Şabri . Sabar ke saath
Wa Aş-Şalāati . Aur namaz ke saath
'Inna Al-Laha . Beshak Allah Ta'lla
Ma`a Aş-Şābirīna . Saath hai sabar karney valon ke

Oh you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed Allah is with the patient.

 2:154 

 وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ أَمْوَاتٌ ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُ‌ونَ
Wa Lā Taqūlū . Aur na ho kaho tum
Liman Yuqtalu . Us shaqs ke liye jo maar'ey jaien
Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi . Allah ki rah mein
'Amwātun . Murday
Bal 'Aĥyā'un . Balkey jo zinda hain
Wa Lakin Lā Tash`urūna . Aur laikin, tum shu'ur nahi rahk'tey

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead" Rather they are alive, but you perceive (it) not.

2:155 
  وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَ‌اتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ‌ الصَّابِرِ‌ينَ
Wa Lanabluwannakum . Aur hum zaroor tum'mein azmaingey
Bishay'in . Kisi cheez se
Mina Al-Khawfi . Khauf se
Wa Al-Jū`i . Aur bhook se
Wa Naqşin Mina Al-'Amwli . Aur maal ke nuksaan se
Wa Al-'Anfusi . Aur jaan'o se nuksaan se
Wa Ath-Thamarāti . Aur phal'on ke nuksaan se
Wa Bashshiri Aş-Şābirīna . Aur khush-khabari hai sabar karney valon ke liye

And We will surley test you with something you fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient. 

 2:156 

 الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّـهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَ‌اجِعُونَ
Al-Ladhīna . Woh log
'Idhā . Jab
'Aşābat/hum . Pohanchey in'hein
Muşībatun . Koi musibat
Qālū . Woh kahien
'Innā Lillahi . Beshak hum Allah ke liye hain
Wa 'Innā 'Ilayhi Rāji`ūna . Aur beshak hum us'hi ki taraf laut'ney valey hain

...who when disaister sticks them, say, Indeed we belong to Allah, and Indeed we will return to him 

 2:157 

  أُولَـٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّ‌بِّهِمْ وَرَ‌حْمَةٌ ۖ وَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ

'Ūlā'ika . Woh hi log hain
`Alayhim . Ke un par
Şalawātun . Ana'it'ien hain
Min Rabbihim . Unke Rabb ki taraf se
Wa Raĥmatun . Aur rehmat
Wa 'Ūlā'ika . Aur woh hi log hain
Humu Al-Muhtadūna . Jo hidayat paan'ey valey hain

Those are the one upon whom are blessing from their Lord and mercy.  And it it those who are the (rightly) guided. 

Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayaat 146 - 150

2:146
  الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءهُمْ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقاً مِّنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ         
Al-Ladhīna 'Ātaynāhumu Al-Kitāba . Woh log jin'hey de humney kitaab
Ya`rifūnahu . Woh us'sey peh'chaantey hain
Kamā Ya`rifūna . Jaise peh'chaantey hain woh
'Abnā'ahum  ۖ  . Apney bait'on ko
Wa 'Inna Farīqāan Minhum . Aur aik fareeq unmein se
Layaktumūna Al-Ĥaqqa . Albatta woh chupaa'tey hain haqq ko
Wa Hum Ya`lamūna . Aur woh jaan'tey hain

The people of the Book know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know.

 2:147 
  الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ
Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika . Yeh haqq hai aapke Rabb ki taraf se
Falā Takūnanna . So aap na hojayein
Mina Al-Mumtarīna . Shaq karney valon mein se

 The Truth is from thy Lord; so be not at all in doubt.

2:148 
وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا ۖ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللَّـهُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿
Wa Likullin Wijhatun . Aur har aik ke liye aik simpt hai
Huwa Muwallīhā  ۖ . Woh muhn phairney wala hai uski taraf
Fāstabiqū Al-Khayrāti  ۚ  . To tum sabkat le jao naikiyo'n mein
'Ayna Mā Takūnū . Jahan kahien ho tum
Ya'ti Bikumu Al-Lahu . To le ayega tumko Allah Ta'lla
Jamī`āan  ۚ  . Sab ko
'Inna Al-Laha . Beshak Allah Ta'lla
`Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun . Har cheez par Qadir hai


 To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you Together. For Allah Hath power over all things.

 2:149 
  وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِنَّهُ لَلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ 
Wa Min Ĥaythu Kharajta . Aur jahan kahien se aap nikalein
Fawalli . Pas kar lein
Wajhaka . Apna ruhk
Shaţra Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi  . Masjid-al Haram ki taraf
Wa 'Innahu  ۖ  . Aur beshak woh
Lalĥaqqu . Albatta haqq hai
Min Rabbika . Aapke Rabb ke taraf se
Wa Mā Al-Lahu  . Aur nahin hai Allah Ta'lla 
Bighāfilin . Be-khabar
`Ammā Ta`malūna . Us'se jo tum karte ho

Thus, from wherever thou mayest come forth, turn thy face [in prayer] towards the Inviolable House of Worship-for,. behold, this [commandment] comes in truth from thy Sustainer; and God is not unaware of what you do.

 2:150 
  وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ لِئَلاَّ يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ حُجَّةٌ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنْهُمْ فَلاَ تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِي وَلأُتِمَّ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ (2:150)
Wa Min Ĥaythu Kharajta . Aur jahan kahien se aap nikalien
Fawalli . Pass kar lein
Wajhaka . Apna ruhk
Shaţra Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi  . Masjid-Al Haram ki taraf
Wa Ĥaythu Mā Kuntum . Aur jahan kahien ho tum
Fawallū . So kar lo
Wujūhakum . Apna ruhk
Shaţrahu . Us'hi ki taraf
Li'allā . Ta key na
Yakūna . Ho
Lilnnāsi . Logon ke liye
`Alaykum . Tum par
Ĥujjatun . Koi daleel
'Illā Al-Ladhīna . Sivaye un logon ke
Žalamū . Jinho'n ne zulm kiya
Minhum . Unmien tumse
Falā Takhshawhum . So tum na dar'o unse
Wa Akhshawnī . Aur dar'o mujse
Wa Li'atimma Ni`matī . Aur ta key mein poori karoon apni neh'mat
`Alaykum . Tum par
Wa La`allakum . Aur ta key tum
Tahtadūna . Hidayaat pao




Hence, from wherever thou mayest come forth, turn thy face [in prayer] towards the Inviolable House of Worship; and wherever you all may be, turn your faces towards it, so that people should have no argument against you unless they are bent upon wrongdoing. ^[124] And hold not them in awe, but stand in awe of Me, and [obey Me,] so that I might bestow upon you the full measure of My blessings., and that you might follow the right path.

Eh-hem.  Dear neighboring bubbles, how's it going?  Mine is like the above.  It's BC.  Can't be too shocked when it snows...in February!  First off, it's Friday and 2nd to the Jummah, it's BB day (Burger King)...the Fish Fillet burger is $1.99....why would you want to eat something else?  But it gets boring sometimes.  The surprising thing about rainy days is how all it takes is one look and you'll crave for pakoray or samosay?  Then you end up eating missi roti.  Astounded by the lack of spices.  It's a good thing.  Mommy's food is like, huh, your throat and tongue fighting against fire to protect your taste buds. 

Keep your seat-belt fastened, no, seriously...

Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayaat 144-145

2:144
Qad Nará Taqalluba Wajhika . Beshak hum dehk'te hain bar bar phirna aap ka muhn
Fī As-Samā'i . Asmaan ki taraf
Falanuwalliyannaka . To hum zaroor phair deingey aapko
Qiblatan Tarđāhā . Uss Qibley par, jis'se aap pasand karte hain
Fawalli Wajhaka Shaţra Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi . So phair lein apna muhn Masjid-al-Haraam ki taraf
Wa Ĥaythu Mā Kuntum . Aur jahan kahien ho tum
Fawallū . So phair lo
Wujūhakum Shaţrahu . Apney chehro'n ko us'si ki taraf
Wa 'Inna Al-Ladhīna . Aur beshak vo log
'Ūtū Al-Kitāba . Jinko de gayi kitaab
Laya`lamūna . Albatta vo jaan'te hain
'Annahu Al-Ĥaqqu . Ke beshak vo haqq hai
Min Rabbihim . Unkey Rabb ki taraf se
Wa Mā Al-Lahu . Aur nahi hai Allah Ta'lla 
Bighāfilin . Bey'khabar
`Ammā . Us'sey
Ya`malūna . Jo vo karte hain

We observe you turning your face, several times towards heaven (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him); so We will definitely make you turn (for prayer) towards a qiblah which pleases you; therefore now turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque (in Mecca); and O Muslims, wherever you may be, turn your faces (for prayer) towards it only; and those who have received the Book surely know that this is the truth from their Lord; and Allah is not unaware of their deeds. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him.)

2:145Wa La'in 'Atayta Al-Ladhīna . Aur agar aap layien un logon ko
'Ūtū Al-Kitāba . Jinko di gayi kitaab
Bikulli 'Āyatin . Har nishaani
Mā Tabi`ū . Nahi vo pairvi kariengey
Qiblataka . Aap ke Qibley ki
Wa Mā 'Anta Bitābi`in . Aur nahi aap pairvi karney valey hain
Qiblatahum . Unkey Qibley ki
Wa Mā Ba`đuhum Bitābi`in Qiblata Ba`đin . Aur na hi unse koi pairvi karney wala dosare kQibley ki
Wa La'ini Attaba`ta . Aur albatta agar aap ne pairvi ki
'Ahwā'ahum . Unkey khwaishaat ki
Min Ba`di . Uske baad
Mā Jā'aka . Ke aa chuka aap ke paas
Mina Al-`Ilmi . Ilm
'Innaka 'Idhāan Lamina Až-Žālimīna . To beshak aap us waqt zalimo'n mein se ho jayiengey
And even if you were to bring all the signs to the People given the Book(s), they would not follow your qiblah; nor should you follow their qiblah; nor do they follow each others qiblah; and were you (the followers of this Prophet) to follow their desires after having received knowledge, you would then surely be unjust.

Ch 2. Surah Al-Baqarah. Ayaat 142-143

2:142 - 

Sayaqūlu As-Sufahā'u . Kahiengey bevakoof

Mina An-Nāsi . Logon mein se

Mā Wa Llāhum . Kis cheez ne phair diya hai unhien

`An Qiblatihimu Allatī . Unke uss Qibley se

Kānū `Alayhā . Vo te jis par

Qul Lillahi Al-Mashriqu Wa Al-Maghribu . Keh di jiye Allah ka hi hia mashriq aur mughrib

Yahdī . Hidayat daita hai

Man Yashā'u . Jis'sey chahey

'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin Seeh'day raaste ki

The fools among the people will say: "What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?" Say: To Allah belong both east and West: He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight.

2:143 -
Wa Kadhalika . Aur iss'si tarha
Ja`alnākum . Humney banaya tumko
'Ummatan .Ummat
Wasaţāan . Darmiyaani
Litakūnū . Takey tum ho jao
Shuhadā'a . Gawa
`Alá An-Nāsi . Logon par
Wa Yakūna Ar-Rasūlu . Aur ho jaye Rasool
`Alaykum . Tum par
Shahīdāan . Gawa
Wa Mā Ja`alnā Al-Qiblata Allatī . Aur nahin banaya ta humney vo Qibla
Kunta `Alayhā . Aap te jis par
'Illā . Magar
Lina`lama Takey hum maloom karien
Man Yattabi`u Ar-Rasūla . Ke kon pairvi karta hai Allah ke Rasool ki
Mimman Yanqalibu . Kon phir jata hai
`Alá `Aqibayhi . Apni ardiyon par 
Wa 'In Kānat Lakabīratan . Aur beshak yeh bohat barr'i baat hai
'Illā `Alá Al-Ladhīna Hadá Al-Lahu . Sivay unke jinko hidayaat di Allah Ta'lla ne
Wa Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyuđī`a 'Īmānakum . Aur nahi hai Allah Ta'lla ke zaya kar de tumhare imaan ko
'Inna Al-Laha . Beshak vo
Bin-Nāsi . Logon par
Lara'ūfun Raĥīmun . Bara mehrbaan, nihayat rehem karney vala hai

Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.
